Am I Crazy for Using the Law of Attraction?

Good morning!

So, am I? Well, that depends on what you see as “crazy,” but I am no crazier than people like missionaries who rely on God to take care of their needs. If you read my previous post about the law of attraction being extremely Christian, then you will understand when I say that my beliefs and theirs are almost the same thing.

I mean, think about it – if you do happen to be Christian, what did Jesus and the disciples do? They gave up their stuff, didn’t work, and just traveled from place to place relying on God to care for them. If you’re not Christian, what do monks of different religions do? They rely on the goodness of others’ to provide for them.

But in this world, that’s not expected. People who believe they will be taken care of are often seen as lazy. Society tells us to work hard for what we want. I think hard work has its place, but it’s not everything.

I think the law of attraction is a glorious gift to humanity, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I’m learning about it now. Less than two years ago, my husband and I didn’t have children, and we lived near a city that had several jobs that could completely financially support us. Then we got pregnant and moved, and we no longer live near any high-paying jobs. Any jobs that will pay even 85-90% of our needed income are so physically and mentally draining that my husband (who is the sole earner) gets physically ill from working and doesn’t have the energy to spend any time with me or our children.

Since we have not (after nearly two years of searching) been able to find a main job for my husband that will provide for us without slowly killing him, I am so glad that I’ve found the law of attraction. My husband can get a job that he is comfortable in, and we can live on grace for whatever else we need.
