I’m Pregnant! (with #2)

Hi!

Yes. You read that right. The Merritt family is growing!

After I had James, I swore up and down that I was done. That pregnancy was terrible, and I was not inclined to repeat that experience. But over a year later, I got pregnant again. And here I am. I think I’m nearly at the end of the first trimester, and this pregnancy has been so much easier. At this point, I really don’t know if I want to stop after 2. But that remains to be seen.

No matter what happens, I’ve been watching a lot of large-family-batch-cooking videos. It seems to me that the larger the family, the easier the meals become. Even with just James, I love batch cooking and super-easy meals. I don’t want to spend an hour cooking each night just to have a good meal. We’ll see how big this family gets, but right now we’re at 3½,and I’m cooking for 7 when I make a full meal (so we get 2 family meals, see).
