Printify, Not Redbubble

Hello!

Most of you probably know that I’ve been making a lot of stuff on RedBubble. This concept is great: it’s a print on demand store where you can make your own design, put it on different items, and sell it. A lot of people are earning a living by doing this, and they don’t have to buy any inventory. Buyers order from the company, and the seller (me) only pays to create the product when a customer is actually buying it. There is no downside, really. Worst case scenario, nothing sells, you lose nothing, and you can buy some of your own custom merchandise for a reduced price.

I really like this idea, but RedBubble is way too expensive. I make mostly coffee mugs, and mugs typically sell for $15 or less. A mug on RedBubble is over $16, and I would only get to keep about $1.50 of that. After seeing how many companies didn’t even offer mugs and were more set up for clothing items, I finally settled on Printify.

I do have to utilize my Etsy shop for the mugs I make, which I hadn’t planned on doing, but I can sell mugs for just under $10 and still keep nearly $4! This is fantastic! After I get my designs transferred over from the RedBubble site, I plan to start selling on Amazon. I think that’s the golden ticket that I need for this to really take off. I know when I’m looking for something, I go to Amazon.

If you’re in the mood for a coffee mug in about a week, check out my Etsy shop, and be looking for me on Amazon.
