Yarn Shop

Hey y’all,

I’m pretty sure I mentioned this before, but here it is again! I have a yarn shop/blog/career.

I began knitting when I was 10, and I had dreams about owning a yarn shop. As I got older, I realized that I live in Texas, and the heat wipes out half of what I could knit, and knitting anything takes too long. I got even older and had a child. When he began pulling the stitches off my knitting needles for fun, I began crocheting instead.

For a time, I tried exclusively creating crochet patterns to sell. That was fun, and I didn’t have to have a large inventory for this, but it wasn’t very profitable. However, I did end up selling almost 20 patterns. Even though I didn’t really make any money, I think that I gave up too soon. I realize now that I don’t need to sell just crochet patterns. I can sell tools and other merchandise. I can gain revenue from ads and sponsorships. There are a lot of things I can do. (And maybe someday, I can knit again, too)

Right now, I have and Etsy shop with a few patterns, and I have a Redbubble shop with some different art that could appeal to crocheters. But I’m about to blow these stores up with yarn/crochet items.

The little girl in me still wants her yarn shop, and I won’t let her down.
