Financial Situation

Hey y’all,

I feel like I’m beating my head against a wall with our financial situation. We need about $500 a month more than we’re currently making. We’re scraping by, but I’d really like to be able to comfortably pay our bills.

I’ve tried so many things to make some extra cash, but nothing seems to be working. I’ve done a yard sale. I’ve tried selling food. I’ve tried making videos for Patreon (by the way, I’ve got more blog content on Patreon). I’ve tried making a GoFundMe account. I think altogether I actually lost some money. The food idea turned out to be a big money suck.

So now I’m going to try child/whatever care. I’m a reasonable stay-at-home mom, and if I can do the same thing somewhere else and get paid, that would be great. I really want this to work. I think it could be great, and it would certainly ease the financial strain here.

I’m also crocheting big animals again.

I like the process of making big, impressive things. I’ve given up hope of making a living with my crocheting, but if I can sell these animals and pay for the materials and make a little extra, that’d be great too. I’d love to make $50-$70 extra per animal and make 5 or 6 a year. It’s not that much in the grand scheme of things, but a bucket fills up drop by drop.
