Hey y’all,
Any readers of this blog will know that I call myself a hippie. However, I’m only mostly a hippie.
Yes, I stretch almost daily, and my child wears cloth diapers most of the time. But there are mint chocolates in my fridge, and my son is vaccinated and wears disposable diapers at night. There are days where I eat junk food and watch TV all day. They aren’t that often, but they do happen. I don’t want anyone to think that I’m super crunchy all day every day.
With that said, I do feel like I’m slowly becoming more and more hippie-like. As I learn and find new things, I incorporate it into my life. For example, I didn’t know what maca powder was until about a year ago. Now I take it every day. (Btw, maca is an adaptogenic plant that helps the body deal with changes in the environment.)
Here are some things I do that would put me in the hippie category:
-I put flaxseed meal in things
-I’m the opposite of a vegetarian (vegan + meat)
-I eat little processed food
-I practice elimination communication with my child
-I don’t shave
-I take maca powder and other herbs
