Hey y’all,
So, all the parents will know that babies typically begin rolling over between three and four months. My baby just turned 2 months yesterday, and today he began rolling over.
Once might have been a fluke, but he’s done it twice today. Of course, I don’t know for sure, but I think we are going to have a little crawler within a few days. He very much enjoys being on his stomach, and he’ll kick his legs and be frustrated that he’s not moving.
He definitely wants to begin moving as soon as he possibly can. I thought we had more time before all this began, but now I don’t think so. I’m buying it a baby gate today because we’ll need it soon.
We’re trying to have a floor bed rather than a crib. Right now, his mattress is beside my bed. My plan was to move him into his own room when he became mobile. So, it looks like I’m going to be moving him to his room sooner than I thought. I may still keep his travel bassinet by my bed for a bit at night. I’m not sure I’m ready to be that far from my baby all night.
*Update* it’s been two days since the little guy began rolling from front to back. He just rolled from back to front. He also rolled out of bed, so I’m glad it’s only a few inches off the ground. Plus, that band-aid is ripped off. The fall didn’t phase him at all. Now I won’t worry about him as much sleeping in his room. We’re going to transition him out of our room this weekend.
