Hey y’all,
I have a plant-based protein cookie recipe for you! It’s also pretty inexpensive since we’re broke bodybuilders on here. This is one of my favorite cookie recipes! I’m going to begin making them more often because I just like them so much. Bonus: they have 3.8g of protein in them – that’s a lot of protein! (since the human body only needs 15% or so of calories from protein)
Making these cookies is pretty simple, too. The recipe is:
- 1 1/2 c rolled oats
- 1/2 c oat flour
- 4 Tbsp of nut/seed butter (I used homemade sunflower butter)
- 2 bananas
Mix, portion into 10 cookies (they’re pretty large), and bake at 400 F for 15-18 minutes.
You can add chocolate chips or protein powder if you want, but I think they’re pretty great just like this. It costs $1.72 to make this entire batch of cookies, and they come out at 120 calories a piece, so you can have several if you want. And, like I said, these cookies have nearly 4g of protein a pop (that’s about 13% of the cookie), so they’re a fantastic little snack.
