Hey y’all,
I had a great Thanksgiving, and I hope you did too.
I definitely fudged on my Monkey Diet (basically whole-food plant-based with a focus on raw vegetables) yesterday. About 15% of cooked food is recommended, and I totally had more than that.
But today’s a new day, and I’m getting straight back on the healthy horse!
So, I want to make the point that the Monkey Diet is intended to better people’s health. For me, I’m using it to reduce inflammation and get rid of my eczema (which is going away super-fast, btw). “Diets” don’t help anything. Lasting changes, whether they be for weight loss or a specific health goal, only come through lasting lifestyle changes.
I healed my skin in 2019, but once I got better, I went back to eating whatever, and my eczema/inflammation came back with a vengeance.
With a lifestyle disease, you only heal if you permanently change your lifestyle. Things like a broken arm you can heal from, and your lifestyle won’t affect them. However, things like inflammation, autoimmune disease, cancer, diabetes, weight, etc. are all tied very closely to your lifestyle. Going on a “diet” for a while will only help while you’re on the diet. Once you go off it, the problem will come back.
If you want to change for the better, there isn’t going to be a healing period. The rest of your life will be healing. I challenge you. Make a change today.
I wish you vibrant health. Have a great day today!
