I’ve finally hit the energy boost everyone talks about when you begin a healthy diet.
Time for some real talk. I didn’t realize my diet was inadequate. I was eating whole-foods plant-based. But my version consisted of a lot of rice and few green veggies. It was still a semi-healthy diet, but not healthy enough for me.
After only a few days eating my Monkey Diet, I experienced a huge boost of energy. For the past two days, I’ve gotten up to my very first alarm. Usually, I don’t even hear the first one because it’s softer, and I snooze my second alarm for 30 minutes to an hour, and I still have to drag myself out of bed. I stay in that sleep fog for about three hours. I don’t usually start functioning well until about noon, but the last couple days I’ve easily gotten up at 7:30 and started my day immediately.
This energy boost lasts all day. About 4 pm, I’m usually ready for a nap, but I haven’t been nearly tired enough for that.
I even lay awake in bed for a few hours when I’m trying to go to sleep. I still have so much energy at the end of the day.
I didn’t realize that I was so exhausted before. I’ve lived like this my whole life, and that makes me sad. I spent half my life being totally exhausted and dragging through the day. If only I had known about this sooner.
For those of you just tuning in, I am now eating Monkey Diet 2.0. It’s basically still the Monkey Diet, but it’s been tweaked a bit to really cater to humans (since we’re very similar to monkeys but not actually monkeys).
